Webinar: Understanding the role of SBCC during a Pandemic, Saturday, April 18, 2020

Covid 19 pandemic has shaken the world and disrupted many ordinary things we take for granted. As the epidemiologists and health staff work on a timely response to understand it and deal with the Covid19 Corona virus medically, social scientists are examining ways to develop resilience, and coping mechanisms amongst the population to deal with the pandemic.
Social and behavior change (SBC) professionals have a critical role to play in this disease outbreak scenario. The Tarang SBCC team is well positioned to address interventions such as proper hygiene techniques, development of SBC strategies, training of service providers, correction of misinformation, stigma reduction, risk communication & community engagement (RCCE) and more. As a way of aiding in this effort, we have initiated this webinar series.

During the webinar we shared the results of a rapid communication survey we conducted, primarily to understand the first sources of information and recall of key messages on COVID. Click here to view the presentation.

The discussion was led and moderated by SBCC Lead Trainers.
